God's Acre

I'm going home to God's Acre

Where my loved ones wait for me.

Sky of blue, grass of green,

And the morning birds will sing.



I'm going to live in the sunshine

Of the clear new light of day.

No more to roam.

I'm going home, to God's acre.

There is a pathway straight and narrow

Leading to the golden streets.

There is a mansion ready for me

In the valley fair and sweet.
